Wedding Photography is no easy subject and interviewing potential wedding photographers can be a daunting task.  Regardless of if you are hiring the Marie Wedding Photography Team or photographer, we have created a list of 10 questions to help you find the perfect photographer for your wedding day.

What is your primary style?

We are primarily photojournalists, we love photos that capture the emotion and tell the story of a moment!

How many weddings have you shot?

​Because we are part-time photography and still function as portrait photographers also, we shoot a limited amount of weddings each year to best serve our clients. In 2016, we shot our 1st wedding; in 2017, we shot 5 weddings; this year 2018, we have shot 11 weddings and we are already beginning to fill our 2019 calendar.

How many other events will you photograph that weekend?

​Weddings are a huge undertaking for our team, we never book any portrait, event, etc on weekends when we are shooting a wedding. We also only book a maximum of 2 wedding is a month to ensure full and adequate coverage and editing time. Your wedding is our priority. 

 

Will a contract for the services be provided? If so, can I get a copy?

​Yes, all of our clients receive a full legally binding pdf copy of wedding contact complete with our terms and conditions along with details of what services we will be providing, pricing, termination resolution terms, etc. 

 

What happens if the photographer is ill?

​While it is unlikely that one of us happens to get ill on your wedding day, there is still a chance.  However, we (Devin and Shaquita)  are both master photographers and one of us will be able to shoot your wedding along with one of our assistants.  However, if any of your package requests are not completed, you will be fully compensated. We also have friends in the areas that we don't mind calling to help us out!

 

Does the package I am interested in include an assistant?

​Every package includes two master photographers.  We will also bring in additional assistance if you have an extremely large guest list, request videography, or a tricky venue.  No worries, we've got you covered.

 

Will you color correct my images?

​Unlike many photographers that will not color correct any, or will only color correct “select” images from your wedding. 

Marie Photography color corrects and fully edits every single image from your wedding to make sure each and every image is a professional quality product.

 

Should my event last longer than scheduled, will you stay? Is there an extra charge?

​Yes, we will, however, we will charge a $100.00/per hour fee. We always let our brides and their coordinators know where they stand on time!

 

What attire will the photographer and their assistants wear?​

Marie photography attire is typically black pants with a black polo or dress shirt.  We dress completely in black because we want to go unnoticed by the clients and guests so that we can capture the event as photojournalists.

 

How long after the event will the proofs, album, etc be ready?

​Studios that do not do any post production or color correction may try to entice you by saying your photos will be ready within the week, or even the next day.  However, most studios that develop and produce their images will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months.

Marie has developed a consistent production schedule in order to deliver an amazing product in an exceptionally quick manner.
